You can see that the art department has virtually duplicated the photo from the comic in every detail from the order of the lineup and even the poses and facial expressions of the heroes.

Zack Snyder had established himself as one of the most creative and sought-after directors in the commercial and music video arenas before segueing to feature films. He made his feature film directorial debut with the hit horror thriller "Dawn of the Dead", in 2004.

For his follow-up effort, in 2006, Snyder beseeched Warners to greenlight a mega-budget adaptation of Frank Miller's bestselling graphic novel "300".

Bringing Watchmen to the screen is only Zack's third Feature project.
